The village of Chernomorets is located 25 km to the south of the town of Bourgas and 10 km to the north of Sozopol, in the south part of the Bourgas Bay, famous with its beautiful beaches. One of them is the so-called Beach of the King near Chernomorets.

The village has its own shopping streets, post-office, pharmacies, medical center, cinema and other conveniences. South of the village there are 3 camping sites: "Chernomorets", "Gradina" and "Zlatna ribka".

Chernomoret is a budget vacation alternative to nearby Sozopol or Dyuni. Still, a flurry of recent construction has resulted in a buyer's market of attractive and well-built small and medium-sized pensions and hotels. One admirable local trait much in evidence is the presence of shrubbery and flower-filled garden courtyards attached to most pensions, restaurants and cafes.

NATURE

Chernomorets sits on a long promontory with the town proper separated from the sea by an expansive high grassy bluff replete with grazing livestock. Though there is no real beach to speak of, the rocky shoreline is pockmarked with shallow inlets providing secluded spots for swimming, sun bathing and fishing.

SURROUNDING AREA

Chernomorets' location between Bourgas and Sozopol affords convenient access to either town for entertainment and nightlife; local offerings are mainly limited to cafe hopping. One of the finest beaches in the region is just south of town at the Gradina campground. It's an easy walk or a quick taxi ride along the pothole-filled access road.

TRANSPORT

Private vans depart at regular intervals from Bourg as (30 mines,) and stop at Chernomorets enrooted to Sozopol.
