Duni is a stylish vacation village, built in 1987 by an Austrian company, located amidst a pine-tree forest on the beach. Consisting of five mini-complexes of contrasting, architectural designs it was build in complete harmony with the wonderful natural surroundings.
The complex incorporates modular 3 or 4 star villa apartments with an eye-catching architectural blend of traditional Mediterranean and Bulgarian style and is as pricy as it looks - especially for non-package travelers.
The resort is divided into 3 self-contained parts - Pelican, Marina and Panorama, each with its own architecture, specific style and atmosphere. There are many restaurants, nightclubs, cafes, tennis courts, several sports ground and playground for children. Duny has several swimming pools, seven tennis courts full range of amenities.
NATURE
Duni's three-kilometer-long beach is as impressive as the accommodation around it. At the north end, a breakwater running parallel to the beach provides an area of calm shallow water ideal for getting the hang of windsurfing or sailing (rentals and instructions available).
There is a lot of vegetation and natural sand dunes. The sunny days are 250 in the year. The beach, 100 m wide, is covered with soft golden sand.
SURROUNDING AREA
Heading south from Duni, the road runs by the Alepou swamp which hosts a plethora of resident and migratory fauna. Just offshore is tiny Saint Thomas Island, famous for its cacti that adapted some 60 years ago.
About 10 kilometers to the south is the Ropotamo national park known for its colorful water lilies. Sozopol is only 5 kilometers to the north, offering a variety of museums, churches and restaurants.
