The oldest resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is only 9km north-east of Varna and 479 km east of Sofia.
The resort is famous from ancient times, due to its unique combination of mountain air, mineral springs and sea. Its construction began in 1908 in the vicinity of St.St.Constantine and Helena Monastery.
More than 50 hotels in the resort offer accommodation, equipped with swimming pools, lobby-bars, confectioneries, restaurants, fitness halls and other additional facilities. The restaurants offer excellent food. As a rule the resort prices are high.
Transport: Regular town buses run every ten minutes (from 6.00 a.m. till 11.00 p.m.) from the resort to the sea capital Varna.
NATURE
The beach strip in the resort is around 5km long and 20-30 m wide covered with golden sand. The resort disposes of many mineral springs, balneo-centers, outdoor mineral pool and others tourist facilities.
The climate and warm mineral water give an opportunity for a rest and medical treatment throughout the year.
SURROUNDING AREAS
Between St.Constantine and Golden Sands is the small Chaika resort -complex offering sufficient accommodation and catering facilities.
The residence Evksinograd is located further south of the resort.
Almost next to Varnais the small resort of Pochivka offering accommodation facilities.
